01 / OUR SCHOOL
Learning starts with curiosity.
Good questions often hide in places we pass each day. Where would a bench invite someone to pause? How can a field notebook open without covering its notes? Which sign would help a first-time visitor find their way around Milk Frog University?
We observe needs, compare sketches and test details with paper prototypes and models. Products, spaces, services and materials connect here. A design should explain how it works, whom it considers and what could still be improved.
Let every small detail carry the feeling that someone has paid attention.
02 / LEARNING PATH
From a small question to a finished project.
Observe · Practise · Create together
-
BEGIN / OBSERVE
Start with everyday actions
Record how someone picks things up, moves through a place and pauses. Draw the situation before deciding where the inconvenience comes from.
-
EXPLORE / COMPARE
Bring a sketch into your hands
Draw several responses to one problem. Use paper models and demonstrations to compare details and give each revision a concrete reason.
-
CREATE / REFINE
Put care into the details
Gather the process, making instructions and feedback into a proposal. Explain materials, upkeep and intended use so the design can be understood and improved.

Product Design: A Pocket Observation Kit
Design a small kit for a Milk Frog’s pond observations, arranging pencils, cards and a magnifying glass. Compare opening, carrying and retrieval methods, then check sizes and steps with a paper model.
Your projectThree sets of product sketches, a paper prototype and use instructions.
Spatial Design: Around a Campus Bench
Map the paths, shade and stopping places around a campus bench. Compare the needs of people sitting alone, talking and passing through, then adjust seating and signs with reasons for each choice.
Your projectA spatial observation map and two layout proposals.
Service Design: A First Visit to the Pond
Follow a Milk Frog’s first nature observation visit from finding directions to arriving, observing and leaving. Identify missing information and design a clear prompt for each part of the experience.
Your projectAn experience map, four prompt cards and improvement notes.
Materials & Craft: Folding a Field Notebook
Try folds, pockets and binding methods with ordinary paper materials. Compare writing, browsing and replacing pages, recording material use and simplifying details that are difficult to make.
Your projectTwo paper notebook prototypes, making instructions and a materials list.
04 / MILK FROG MENTORS

Confident Milk Frog
The desk is usually covered in card, pencils and an unfinished first version. Sketch several possibilities, fold them, hold them and bring discoveries from using them back into the design.

Dreamer Milk Frog
Knows which patch of shade by the pond invites a pause. Dreamer helps you notice light, paths and reasons to sit down, turning impressions of a space into ideas that can be discussed.

The Pond Through Four Seasons
Work with Nature & Life Sciences to turn seasonal observations into comparable pages and a folding map. Give dates, locations and legends consistent positions, showing seasonal changes while leaving space for what remains unknown.
Suggested outputFour seasonal page layouts, a folding map and a legend guide.
Read the project dossierSmall Changes to a Campus Bench
Develop modest changes to an imagined pond-side bench: somewhere for a book, room for company or solitude, and signs that keep the path clear. Compare two layouts through models and state what still needs testing.
Suggested outputTwo bench scene models, use diagrams and a list of open questions.
