Sharing a small idea of your own can be the beginning of a new connection. The first Lawn Creativity Festival will take place on October 31, bringing students from different schools to the Central Lawn with music, publications, moving images and handmade work.
The festival includes a student makers' market, a gentle music corner and an open mic. Zines from the School of Humanities & Creative Arts, interactive pieces from the School of Computing & Future Studies, and the Lotus Pond Observation Society's nature handbook will all be on display.
Milk Frog's belly laugh is one of the inspirations behind the event: sometimes joy comes from an understanding that needs no explanation. Quiet corners, benches and a clear event map also give visitors space to participate at their own pace.
The Students' Union encourages reusable decorations and tableware, with everyone helping to tidy the grounds when the event ends. May the festival leave us with creative work, friends and memories.
